The winters in Symetrius were the coldest i'd ever been through. They were dark and wet. Full of reasons for one to stay inside and spend the time wasting away. With the weather my heart also grew cold and sick for home. This city was nothing like the memories of my warm home in the heart of the snow filled days. Mother in the kitchen baking up hot and fresh goodies for the family. Father showing me how to decorate a christmas tree properly. The love surrounding me in the kindest moments of my life. This was the worst winter of my days. For you see, she came to me in my dreams to haunt me with the recognition of my lonely world. ghost of a female in red and white. She said nothing and did little to cause me such pain. She simply made her presence clear to me in the nights when I required only the peace of sleep. She appeared and reminded me of the things I was losing to walk the path I had chosen for myself. She was my love. She was my happiness. She was my sense of home. I had already spent a year in Symetrius and the results only seemed to lead my thoughts to insanity. It was a night like no other when she came to keep me company. I informed her with the blistering beam of my own awareness that I was tired of this situation. Tired of the journey. She took the beam head on and vanished from the scene. I don't believe she was taken away for good. She was never truly real to begin with. Only a part of me. I still feel her inside of me. Escaping the model of my desires. Waiting for me to give in to her display or to change the surroundings on my own.
